Why I Blog

I feel called to combine prayer with writing in a concise, articulate way. (This is what I refer to as “ninja blogging.”) I stand on the wall of intercession, praying, studying the Bible, and watching for the L-rd’s return. The purpose of this blog is to invite you, the reader, along a journey of intercession and to articulate what I’m learning as I’m standing on the wall.

I include random thoughts and humor on occasion (nothing in the Bible says believers can’t be funny). You can also find a bunch of somewhat incoherent posts chronicling my six-month internship at the International House of Prayer–Kansas City, Missouri.

Please click the verses for further explanation of each facet of my blog.

Prayer:

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the L-rd, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. (Isaiah 62:6–7, emphasis added)

Writing:

I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the L-rd answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.” (Habakkuk 2:1–2, emphasis added)
