A business venture and a leadership opportunity

So I recently embarked on a little business venture … or bus-hizzy-ness viz-enture as my brother and I might have said back when we were triz-i-ying to be cool, wi-z00t!! Thus having embarrassed myself with my former (former??) dorkiness, I shall proceed to explain:

I’m going to have a product out for the next IHOP conference. It’s not what you might expect from me; it has nothing to do with writing. Still, I’m excited about this product, though I am in no wise a businessperson. You’ll be able to find the product in the Forerunner Bookstore in a few weeks. If I take part in Reader Appreciation Week, I may give some away as prizes. Watch this space for further details…

On another tangent, I may start confronting my fear of man in a more active way. Last week I was offered the opportunity for leadership in a small area. I panicked and said no because I didn’t think I was ready. I knew all the words to say and what to do in that area. I was just terrified because (1) I do not like being highly visible and (2) I don’t think I love the Bride (the Church) enough to be in leadership yet.

But the Holy Spirit loves the Church, and He gives in abundance to the poor in spirit. I plan on saying yes if I am asked to lead again. I trust G-d’s wisdom in using weak people.

SO WHAT’S THE PRODUCT???!!! I’m really curious now. Don’t keep me in suspense, OK? Your nosy mother.

It’s really small (physically). It probably won’t make a big splash, but I hope will sell steadily … but I’m not going to say what it is just yet.

Thanks Jenn for your interesting in RA Week. Even if you choose not to participate, there are several blogs out there participating that you may be able to take part in (such as Shawn’s blog).

    Take care,

    Ronald

OK, so you’re going to keep the product a secret for now. How about telling me what leadership opportunity you turned down? I hope you don’t feel condemnation about that. Ya know, He always gives us another chance.

Oh, the opportunity was with my prophecy team … we split up into three-person teams, and one person usually leads the team (meaning they do the introduction and usually the opening prayer). I’ve seen other people lead often enough so that I know what to do, but I haven’t been confident in my ability to relate to the strangers who pass through the rooms.

I did get another chance, actually; my three-person team took turns leading today through the two hours. My turn went well. :-) So if Jeff asks me to lead again, I’ll say yes.

can i be your NZ salesperson?

It depends on NZ’s interest in the product’s topic. Wait until the big reveal and ask me again then.
